    I love this one! But unfortunatly, most blogs I create need a sidebar . . . but maybe since this has a sidebar thingy in the footer, it might do . . .bookmarking for usage soon :)

    Yeah the sidebar was intentionally *downgraded*. I hope this theme will cater to the needs of people who want to just write and then forget everything else. ;)

    Which version of wordpress are you using? Do you see the theme listed in the ‘broken themes’ section?

    Ah, fixed. Weird. Unzipping then transferring to my server didn’t work, but unzipping on the server did. Mustive just been a odd error.

    There were a couple of bugs in the theme:

    1. The wrong favicon was hard-coded.
    2. The wrong RSS feed was hard-coded

    Both of these are in the header.php file.

    I have fixed the code now. Please download the updated zip file. Sorry for the hassle.

    Hi, thanks for the great minimalist theme. I’m anxious to try it out on a new blog for the New Year.

    I’m having an issue with the archives page though…clicking on ‘archives’ in the header leads to /wpdir/archivepage and a 404 error.

    I’m using WP SVN. Is there something I’m missing to get the archives working?

    To increase the width of the page you will have to edit the background images (unfortunately they are fixed width) and of course the CSS files. I will make this more flexible in a future version. (Let me know if you want a custom redesign ;) )

    This is really a lovely theme. Clean and simple for writers.
    Just one thing: Don’t you think it would be better to have h1 titles on single posts and pages?

    Hi Niyaz,

    Thanks for making this theme!

    I have one question– while the theme looks great on my computer, when I try to access it (the site I’m working on with the theme) on my cell phone, it crashes the browser on the phone…I can visit other sites on the phone no problem–not sure what could be causing this.

    Also, other themes I have tried do show up on my phone…

    Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    I really like the Clear theme. I haven’t had a chance to test it on a mobile device yet, but the narrow width ought to help improve readability on mobile devices.

    Hi, I really love the theme. I would use it over any other if the width could be adjusted. My title gets smooshed together and the narrowness just doesn’t look great. Do you think you’ll release a fix soon? I saw your comment on another user’s request. Thoughts?

    Niyaz, I edited your theme a bit and am now using it for my site. Take a look and let me know what you think. I used a little hack to get the menu on top to display categories of posts when clicked.

    Hi,
    thanks for this great theme, it’s really very clear and elegant one, I’m going to use this theme for my haiku poetry page.

    Though, I’ve experienced 2 problems: There’s a hidden upper edge of the site name text in the header in IE 6.0 (it’s OK in Firefox and Opera).
    And the second one: The greyish page border is too bright so it fade away on the white background and it’s invisible, when view the page theme on one of my monitors (cheap LCD Acer). It’s OK on my CRT Sony Trinitron. I’ve tried to change the LCD settings, but I can’t do it better.

    Love the theme! Simple, minimal yet flexible. Wish Categories cab be made available at the top with a drop down menu.

    Great design! I’ve decided to use Clear for one of my business sites. I see there is a provision for a graphic logo (img/logo.gif) but I can’t make it appear anywhere in the header, and I find no setting under appearance to enable it. Could you please tell me how… Thanks!

    I’m a relatively new blogger and love the Clear theme. I haven’t been able to reduce the size of the title, it’s chopped on top, and covers the subtitle a bit. I know that I need to go to style css, but what do I change on that page….I’m brand new to these codes, and think I might make a big mess.

    Jane,

    Open the style.css file and go to the #logo #h1 part.

    Edit the line font-size: 4em; to whatever size suites your need. You can use decimals (like 3.75em) too.

    A great cool looking theme.
    I have encountered some issue with this clear theme. It works really well, looks real good, but I was trying to resize the window of my browser, and when the window is less than certain size in width, the image in the header, body and footer seems to break apart. here is an example for what i am trying to say: http://o.imm.io/6te.png

    is there a quick fix for this?

    Beautiful theme. Question: How do I indent the first line of each paragraph. I’ve tried adding “text-indent: 2em;” to the p part of the CSS file, but it doesn’t seem to work. Actually, the raw text of my posts don’t seem to have , so maybe the problem is something else.
